Whatever the mode of play, farming is a significant part of a Diablo 2 game-playing experience. The player will have to farm for their best in slot items at some point in order to be as powerful as they possibly can be. While the game becomes increasingly difficult and punishing, the player’s progress is being tracked. I’ve put together this Diablo 2 Farming Guide as a result of my research and personal experience since returning to the game a few months ago.
Understanding what to farm and where to farm during the various stages of the game, as well as the evolution of your character and build, becomes critical information that must be absorbed as you progress through the game.
Farming at the Normal Difficulty Level

According to the majority of playthroughs, farming isn’t as necessary in the early levels. The reason for this is simply the rate at which you go through your D2R ladder items for sale. Get as much MF (magic find) as you can to ensure a steady stream of uniques, rares, and rings, as well as charms and amulets for yourself and others. And the most effective way to accomplish this is by placing the highest quality topaz gems available in your helm or chest sockets. Which are the only item types for which a topaz is equivalent to a magic find. While on the lookout for amulets and rings with powerful magical properties, I came across this one.
The only notable farming activity that you might engage in during this time is rune farming, which is the most common type of farming activity during this time. This can be accomplished by performing the Act 1 Countess runs. She drops three runes during her quest The Forgotten Tower, and another two during her subsequent quests. When farming her, make sure you are in player 1 because this has an impact on the number of runes she will drop.
Take note that the best drop rates for a boss occur when you are completing their related quests (first kill). All subsequent kills have a lower number of drops than the first. The Countess and her rune drops are exactly the same.
The Farming Experience in Nightmare Difficulty
A large portion of farming activity begins in Nightmare due to the fact that enemies, particularly high level enemies and bosses, reach a level in the game’s mechanics that allows them to drop some of the most in demand and high performing diablo 2 resurrected items for sale. Andriel is the first boss that you will be able to farm once you have completed the tutorial. Despite the fact that it is not the fastest route to take. In general, though, things only start to fall apart after some decent MF is applied in Nightmare.
Act 2-4 Agriculture
While leveling, tombs in Act 2 are a good place to look for some decent drops to supplement your income. Following that is Lower Kurast in Act 3, which is a fantastic place to casually farm while also gaining a significant amount of experience.
As soon as you are comfortable with your abilities, you can start farming The Council and Mephisto for some early Hell viable gear. Mephisto is a fan favorite, and he has one of the largest loot tables in the game, which is understandable given how easy it is to take him on.
In addition to Diablo and Chaos Sanctuary, which is one of the most iconic and heavily farmed locations in the entire game, there is also Diablo and Chaos Sanctuary.
From Act 5 onwards
Despite the fact that the first few farming options are not as lucrative as those provided by Mephisto and Diablo, Act 5 provides you with even more farming options. However, they are easier to access and complete, and they are excellent for combining with others in order to maximize potential drops.
Quick access elites such as the first boss of Act 5, Shenk, from Quest One: Siege on Harrogath, and Eldrith, who is the boss right above the first waypoint, are extremely useful because they drop a lot of useful items. Excellent practice before moving on to the more difficult farms.
Pindle is also a high magic drop farm, and he is the first boss you encounter when you enter the teleport created for Quest Four: Betrayal of Harrogath after rescuing Anya from Quest Three: Prison of Ice. Keep in mind that the mobs that spawn after his death can have high drop rates as well, so keep that in mind as well. The quest, on the other hand, must remain unfinished in order to enable this farm.
Baal, on the other hand, appears to be the only boss and area that can begin to drop high level Hell gear and high runes, which are normally reserved for Hell difficulty. Of course, completing him on a team with a higher player count is the best bet for such opportunities. However, there have been numerous reports of Baals minions or himself dropping items such as Shako or the Vex rune, among other things. Therefore, this is a great place to return later on when farming for Hell or when the higher bosses of Hell are not yet available to you in your current level of play.
Secret Cow Level (also known as “Secret Cow” level)
Finally, we have the levels with the secret cows. Overall, this location is excellent for magic drops (blues), but it can also provide you with a reasonable rate of yellows and rare items. Remember that you must have completed the game on the appropriate difficulty before you can create a cow level. Furthermore, in vanilla D2, the cow king must not be killed in order for the game to continue creating cow levels.
Farming in Hell is a difficult task
When we get to Hell, it’s essentially all of the farms mentioned above, plus a few more thrown in for good measure. You are unlikely to be strong enough to face off against Mephisto and Diablo, for example, if you are starting out with little experience. As a result, you must build up your resources through the farming zones listed below. With Hell, the great thing is that everything is worth a fight during your early levels. In fact, you can start farming just about any of the Act 1 areas with some success if you have a little mana.
Keep in mind that the Council drops are no longer effective in Hell. They do, however, continue to drop rings, amulets, and charms in addition to large stacks of gold, which is a nice touch.
The following are examples of common additions to the farming list:
Lower Kurast and the Chests – Act 3 (level 80) – The Pits – Act 1 (level 85 area) – Sewers 1, 2, and 3 (Level 74+ area) – Ancient Tunnels – Act 2 (Level 85 area) – Lower Kurast + Chests – Act 1 (level 85 area)
As your strength increases, you should farm in areas of the game that are level 85 or higher in order to have access to the highest loot tables. Detailed information on Acts and their related areas can be found in this list. Area_Level Bonus (https://diablo2. dablowiki. net/Area_Level_Bonus)

In singleplayer mode, you can change the player difficulty by using the /player x command, which stands for player difficulty. When comparing MF increase rate to difficulty, players 3, 5, and 7 provide the best results, and they can be changed as many times as necessary in a single game.
Bonuses for playing early in the game

Is it possible to get a job as a writer in the U. S.? As a result of its 25-30% MF value when socketed into weapons, armors, and shields, rune becomes extremely valuable in the late game. Furthermore, if and when playing multiplayer, high runes become the primary currency of the game, and it is on the basis of these runes that the majority of players trade and evaluate .
